Well, today 10 Feb I joined Deviant Art claiming to be an Artisan, textile artist. My aim is to produce vintage clothes as authentically as possible. I have started with a Victorian chemise, completely hand sewn -never seen the sewing machine - and original cotton lace from 1902. My intention, today anyway, is to make a complete Edwardian (well 1912/14) outfit, from knickers (oh so shameful) to coat, and everything in between - yes that includes a corset which everybody surely must try at some stage.
